  1. Do you know what Amla tastes like? I’m usually scared to try new food, so I’d love to have an idea of this before I try it! Also, I wonder if this can be bought at Walmart or Target? This seems like  I may have to go to Wholefoods for it, which I don’t mind because I like any excuse to go to Wholefoods or a market for food instead. 

    1. Hi Nikki, thank you for your interest in Amla. The fresh fruit is sour and it is not easy to find. It grows in tropical places like South India. In fact I have discovered Amla when travelling in India. In the west it is easier to find it as juice. The paste I mention in the article, Chyawanprash is very good and it includes Amla, and it is sweet as has other ingredients like honey added. I´m not sure if you can find it at the stores you mention. I usually buy it from health stores or Ayurveda specialised stores to make sure to get the genuine product.
